Thankful for you!

Hello, my friends!

I hope you've all enjoyed a wonderful Christmas with your family and friends!
We have a few days now to catch our breath before we ring in the New Year.

I've been wanting to play along with Paper Smooches for a while now but things have been a little busy.
I finally managed to snatch enough time to create a card for their December Challenge.
The challenge is "Flowers",
and I'm linking it up in the nick of time! ;o)

I used a couple of the Paper Smooches freebies offered on their blog.
I combined the flower image, and two of the sentiments.
Then I printed out more of the flowers, fussy cut them out,
and layered them up with dimensionals.
I pierced the design and stitched it with embroidery floss.
Finally, I layered everything up, with the top layer adhered with foam tape.

Here's an angle that shows the dimension:

As always, at this time of year, we spend time reflecting on the happenings of the past year.
I know that for many of us it's been a year of both joys and sorrows.

One of my greatest joys is that you continue to visit my blog,
and leave me your sweet words of encouragement!
So, this card is for each one of you...because I am thankful for you! :o)

I look forward to the New Year with hopeful anticipation!
God is good, and ever faithful, and He has much goodness in store for all of us!
EnJOY the rest of your holidays!

Oh Christmas Tree Card - Cards and More DT

Hello...and HAPPY last Tuesday before Christmas!

Today I have a fun Christmas tree card to share with you.

I used a fun template from Dutch Doobadoo,
and traced and cut two of the second largest tree.

I had fun decorating it!
I added a poinsettia and framed it with the beautiful die-cut.
Then I used an assortment of stickles and liquid pearls to add the sparkle and glitter.
A punched and glittered star on the tree top, and a pretty ribbon bow, and it's finished!

To turn it into a card...
I scored across the back tree piece.
Then I added glue above the score line and adhered it to the front piece.
Now it opens up, and stands nicely.

It was lots of fun, and works great with this sweet image.

Here's a nice angle shot to show the dimension.

You can see it even better from the top.

A HUGE thanks to Sandy for having me,
and the great job she does!

This time I made a card using a My Besties image.

Please excuse the shadows on my card.
It was snowing and dreary when it was taken.
{ YAY! :o) }

I just did some simple layering,
then added some poinsettias.
Finally, I added my favorite sequins from Where Ideas Bloom!
Have you noticed I like sequins on everything lately? :o)
Here's my card:

Some Winter Fun From Deedee's Digis

Hello, my friends!

I hope you're all enjoying a wonderful week!

Today I'm sharing my final DT projects for Deedee's Digis.
As I've already posted, Deedee is closing up shop at the end of the year.

Both of these cards were made using one of Deedee's newest releases called "Birdie's Snow Day"

For this first card I used the pre-coloured image, the sentiment, and a paper from the set.

This second card was made using the same set;
another pre-coloured image, sentiment, and paper.
I added snowflakes punched with a Martha Steward punch,
and some bling from my stash.

You're really going to want to pop over to Deedee's Digis Shop!
She's having the biggest sale before she closes!
Believe me...you've never seen such great images for such great prices! :o)

Look at this:

I must say that although my time on Deedee's DT was short
...it was wonderful!
Deedee is a very special person and I'm honoured to know her!
I will continue to use her fabulous images on future projects!

Simple Packaging Idea - Cards and More DT

Hello, my friends!

I hope you're all enjoying a wonderful week!

I have a fun and simple packaging idea to share with you.
These were so easy to make using products from the Cards and More Shop!

First, I created two pillow boxes using the gorgeous Vintage Frost Basics Papers from Maja Designs.
Then I decorated them using some great snowflake dies, and a beautiful elastic ribbon.
Finally, I added a sweet tag cut from one of the papers.

Here they are:

This one is so pretty in frosty pinks!
The wonderful ribbon keeps everything nicely closed...so there's no peeking!
It easily slips off when it's time to open.

The tag is simply tucked into the ribbon.
You could write a note or a name on the back of the tag.

Here's a wonderful blue package, decorated with sparkly white snowflakes.

One final photo of this package with the tag untucked.

I hope you like my little packages! :o)
They would be lovely filling a basket, or decorating a table...with one at each place!
The perfect size to hold a sweet treat, a small gift, or a gift card!
Consider making some yourself!

This time I made a card using an image from Bugaboo.
They are one of the great sponsors.
This image is called "Snowglobe - Ava", and you'll find it HERE.

I coloured the image and then masked it off.
I inked the background with distess ink, and then fussy cut the snowglobe.
The decorative die was added behind and it was adhered to the card base.
Finally, I added a sparkly bow!

Materials Used:
Papers: Recollections - Cardstock;
Image: Bugaboo - Snowglobe - Ava,
Spectrum Noir Markers;

Most of you know how much I love my winter here in Saskatchewan!
So far we've had one snowfall, and unseasonably warm temperatures.
We might even reach +6 C today!
These frosty photos were taken last year.
All the embellishments were leftover bits and pieces from my stash!
Here's a close-up of the stitching and a few of the flakes.
