Happy Easter Wishes!

Happy Easter weekend, my dear friends!
I know I'm running a little bit late with this post! I've had very busy days with company coming...and going...and more coming! Lots of fun happening but no time for the computer. I'll be by to visit all of you again as soon as things have settled down!
Easter is so meaningful to me. It's a time to remember the sacrifice that was made on our behalf! In John 11:25-26, Jesus said:
"I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live,
even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die."

This year, the verses found in John 17: 25-26 are speaking to me. This was Jesus' prayer:

"Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you,
and they know that you have sent me.
I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known
in order that the love you have for me may be in them
 and that I myself may be in them."

The bunnies and chocolate are so much fun...but the real JOY is that we serve a risen Savior...He is alive!!

So,  I made this card in appreciation for each and every one of you, my dear friends! It is full of heartfelt wishes that you enjoy a very blessed Easter! :o)

This sweet image is from Kathryne at Stamp Art Design by Kathryne. It's called Happy Little Bunny!
The bling is from my stash.
All the other materials used are from the March Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp.

A Happy Monday Card

 *Note: I've jumped on the bandwagon and signed up with Bloglovin. The button can be found in my sidebar. *

Happy Monday, my friends!
I have another card to share with you today! I've used another Digi Darla Designs image. This one is called Brianna's Bike. I recently won a few more of these sweet images and was having trouble deciding on the final image. (It's hard because they're all so adorable!) So I had my husband pick the last one, and this was his choice. I think he did very well!
After coloring up the image, I used some pretty Prima papers, and my new Butterfly Chain edge punch. The punch was one of the fun new toys my husband gave me for my birthday. Then I punched out some flowers and added some pearls!
I'd like to thank you all for the super sweet comments on my last posts! You guys are the greatest!! Also, thank you for all the lovely birthday wishes! It's still my "birthday week" so my celebrations are just going to continue! I hope you all have a fun week of celebrating your joys too! :o)

Image: Digi Darla Designs - Brianna's Bike;

Sushi Dolls #6

Welcome back!
I have a new Sushi Dolls DT project for you! This image is from Susi's latest Sushi Doll release. You can find  all the images HERE. You can find some wonderful projects using the Sushi Dolls HERE.
The image I used is called "Geeky", and I think she's adorable! I knew right away that I would be using these  Basic Grey papers for my card. The rows of books are just too perfect for it, aren't they? For the sentiment I fussy cut a banner so the word "Brilliant" would be featured. I added an embellishment of punched cogs and a brad. Here it is:

Materials Used:
Papers: Recollections - Cardstock,.
Basic Grey - Oxford;
Image: Sushi Dolls - Geeky;
Prismacolor Pencils and OMS;
Ink: Distress Ink - Walnut Stain;
Punch: Stampin' Up - Double Cog'
Brad: My Stash..

I used a wonderful sketch from From the Heart:

Hymn and Scripture Challenge #5 - Cleanse Me

Happy Spring day to all of you!
I'm back with a new Scripture Challenge page! The hymn Cleanse Me is another familiar favorite, although I know it as Search Me, O God. It's a beautiful, prayerful song that is very meaningful to sing. I've included the words to all four verses at the end of this post, but I want to share the first verse here:

"Search me, O God, and know my heart today,
Try me, O Savior, know my thoughts, I pray;

See if there be some wicked way in me;
Cleanse me from every sin, and set me free."

Isn't that beautiful? For my Scripture verse I used 1 John 1:9 which says:
"If we confess our sins,
 He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins,
and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Yes, God is faithful! Every single time we ask for forgiveness...He will give it! He doesn't hold a grudge at our disobedience, or set a limit on how many times we will be forgiven. He understands our human frailty and weakness! He knows our heart when we fail Him! He cleans away all the sin and sets us free! That wonderful freedom is only available to us  because of Jesus, and His sacrifice on the cross. What a blessing that is...what a gift! :o)
My page is clean and simple! ;o) I had this image in my head as soon as I heard which hymn we were doing this time. With the aid of my Slice cards it came together nicely. After cutting out the pitcher I realized there was no basin or bowl on the card. So this is actually a tab cut in half. I thought it worked very well. Yellow is a color I don't gravitate towards. Every once in a while I challenge myself to use yellow. Since I wanted a background paper that looked like old wallpaper, this one with the yellow flowers was perfect. I think this page symbolically displays the message of the song! :o)

Materials Used:
Papers: Papermania - Summer Bloom (gift from Susan),
Cardstock - Recollections and Momenta;
Dies: Spellbinders Borderabilities - Fleur De Lis Border;
MM Slice Design Cards: Think Pink - Alpha,
Home Sweet Home - Frame and Insert,
Bon Apetite - Pitcher and Basin ( gift from Friday);
Ink: Distress Ink - Walnut Stain.

These two gentlemen are wonderful and sing this song beautifully!
In this first video they sing the first verse of the song, and it's very short.
I'm also adding a second video.
It's longer, as it contains some talking before they sing.
I've added it for those of you who have time and would enjoy a chuckle or two!

CLEANSE ME (also known as SEARCH ME O GOD)

Search me, O God, and know my heart today,
Try me, O Savior, know my thoughts, I pray;
See if there be some wicked way in me;
Cleanse me from every sin, and set me free.

I praise Thee, Lord, for cleansing me from sin;
Fulfill Thy word and make me pure within;

Fill me with fire, where once I burned with shame;

Grant my desire to magnify Thy name.

Lord, take my life, and make it wholly Thine;
Fill my poor heart with Thy great love divine;

Take all my will, my passion, self and pride;

I now surrender, Lord, in me abide.

O Holy Ghost, revival comes from Thee;
Send a revival, start the work in me;
Thy Word declares Thou wilt supply our need;
For blessings now, O Lord, I humbly plead.

Speaking of Spring...
  When I was a kid, March 21st was always known as the first day of Spring.
 These years it seems to always begin on March 20th but I the 21st is the first FULL day of Spring, right?
So with that in mind, I'm going to pretend today is the last day of Winter and share a few seasonal photos with you!

A pretty sunset. The little trees are heavy with snow. This was early in the season:

Then later...my fluffy little tree:

These beautiful Waxwings come every year...hundreds of them! This one was right outside my sun-room window:

The beautiful frost pattern on my sun-room door:

This one was taken last week. We've had two more snowfalls since then. That's me waving at you! :o)

Well...Spring is here now! I think somebody needs to tell all my snow!
Have a happy day! :o)

Blessings!

Happy Friday, my lovelies!
Can you believe I have another card to show you already? I've become a card-making machine this week, and I've made even more that I can't show you yet.
I really enjoyed making this one. The image is so sweet, isn't it? It was one of my recent prize wins. It's from Digi Darla Designs and it's called Blowing Dandelions. On the inside of the card I included an Irish Blessing but I forgot to take a picture of it.It says:
May brooks and trees and singing hills
Join in the chorus too,
And every gentle wind that blows
Send happiness to you.

I thought this verse worked well with the sweet image and the sentimen on the front. Thanks very much for stopping by! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend full of joy and laughter! :o)

Happy St Patrick's Day Card

Happy Thursday, my friends!
This week has sure flown by for me! Has it been the same for you?
My friend Sandy introduced me to The Stamping Chef. I popped into their facebook page and found this fun free image. It's a bit different then my usual fare but lots of fun. When I saw it I just had to use it! Why...you ask? Well, because she made me laugh, of course! Oh, I think she's absolutely adorable but I laughed because of the memories she evoked. How many times did I forget to wear green to school on St Patrick's Day? How many times did I tell everyone I was wearing green underwear to avoid those nasty pinches? haha Well, this girl is not going to get any pinches, is she? :o)
The pearls might seem a bit random but they are serving a purpose. Always make sure your surface is clean when you turn your image over to apply adhesive! Yes, the pearls are hiding a couple of marks! lol I added some brads that just happen to match the design of the border punch. I thought that if four leaf clover is lucky then five leaf clover must be even luckier! ;o)

Materials Used:
Papers: K & Company - Sweet Nectar,

A Card...For Me? Creative Inspirations #3

*Before I begin my post today, I just want to let you all know that I have added an email notification in my sidebar. I never could have imagined anyone wanting my posts emailed to them! Thank you very much!

Good morning, my friends!
I'm having a birthday next week, so I thought I better get busy and make a card for my husband to buy FROM me to give TO me! lol For those of you that don't know, that's what my husband did for my Valentine's Day card. He really liked one I made and asked if he could buy it and give it to me! :o)
I made this card using the March Cut-Aparts page from Graphic 45 Place In Time Collection from the  Creative Inspirations Store. I'm not really counting it as a full Design Team project. It's more of a filler project until I post the bigger DT project I'm working on. I'll add links to the store in the materials list so you can take a look. Don't forget...with any $60 purchase from the store you get to choose a FREE gift!
With green and purple being one of my favorite color combinations, this page was lots of fun to play with. Here's a picture of it:

Here's my simple card:

It measures 5 X 7 inches. I added a tag on the inside so my husband can write some sweet words to me! lol I considered making a double pocket card so he had lots of room  to include gift cards and money...but decided I liked this size and layout better! :o)

Materials Used:
 Ribbon, Brad: From My Stash.

Hymn and Scripture Challenge #4 - Worthy of Worship

*Before I begin my post today, I just want to let you all know that I have added an email notification in my sidebar. I never could have imagined anyone wanting my posts emailed to them! Thank you very much!

Happy Friday, my friends!
I have a new Hymn and Scripture Challenge page for you today. It sure is nice to be back on track with the schedule.
When I first saw the title of this song, I thought Patter had finally picked a hymn that I wasn't familiar with. However, after listening to it on a YouTube video, I realized that I did know it after all!
You can clearly see the Scripture verse that I used on my page. Another one that I really like is found in Psalm 7:17. It says:

"I will give thanks to the Lord because of His righteousness;
I will sing the praises of the name of the Lord Most High."

For some reason, whenever I think of singing praises to the Lord, I think of birds. When weather permits I spend lots of time relaxing in our yard. Out among the flowers and trees...and under the big beautiful sky that Saskatchewan is known for...you can't help but worship the Lord. My heart sings praises to Him right along with all the beautiful birds! God is great and worthy of all of our praise; when times are tough, as well as when we are rejoicing! :o)
My page is very simple this time. I cut the bird out of the music sheet and inked it up. I created a nest with multiples of the Bird Branch die, and added a couple of feathers and some flowers. I wrote out my Scripture verse and matted it. Placed the title on a banner that I hand cut. Then I adhered it all onto this lovely floral page...and my page was finished...on time! lol Have a beautiful weekend! :o)

Materials Used:
Papers: Recollections - Cardstock,
K & Company - Tim Coffey - Cottage Garden;

Here's a video with a sweet little boy singing part of the song in a Church service!
The camera is quite wobbly but I thought it's short and worth watching! :o)

Here are all of the lyrics to Worthy of Worship:

Worthy of worship, worthy of praise,
Worthy of honor and glory;
Worthy of all the glad songs we sing,
Worthy of all the offerings we bring.

Refrain
You are worthy, Father, Creator.
You are worthy, Savior, Sustainer.
You are worthy, worthy and wonderful;
Worthy of worship and praise.

Worthy of rev'rence, worthy of fear,
Worthy of love and devotion;
Worthy of bowing and bending of knees,
Worthy of all this and added to these.

Almighty Father, Master and Lord,
King of all kings and Redeemer,
Wonderful Counselor, Comforter, Friend,
Savior and Source of our life without end.

Sushi Dolls #5 - Sushi Music Note

Happy Wednesday to all of you!
I'm back already with a new project! This time I had fun with another Sushi Doll image. I knew what I would do with this one as soon as I saw it. Those of you that follow my Hymn & Scripture Challenge posts know that I am doing an 8 1/2 " square format for my pages this year. I decided on that size because they fit perfectly into this Teresa Collins album I had. The album was from her Chic Bebe Girl collection. They weren't quite right the way they were, so I had to alter them. This sweet Sushi Music Note image just had to be used!
I have to chuckle every time I look at this image...some days it's the only way I can carry a tune! lol
I used some of the goodies I still had out on my table, including some extras of the stitched flowers I made. This time I layered them up with some smaller inked flowers. Some layers, bling and lace and it was finished. I hope you like it! Please go take a look at Susi's fabulous new March release of Sushi Dolls HERE. Sushi Music Note was from the February release and you can find her HERE too, just scroll down until you see her. Also, the links to the rest of the Design Team are in my sidebar.  If you have any questions, please let me know! :o)

What A Beautiful Day!

Happy Saturday, my friends!
I found some time today to make a little card! It's got a kraft card base, and then a layer of red cardstock. I punched the corners only of a square of decorative paper. I punched out some flowers, pierced around their edges, and then stitched them by hand using floss that matched the decorative paper. Punched some small flower centers out of some of the coordinating papers and added them with some pearl brads. I added a ribbon and a sentiment, and my card was finished! I also did the shortest post EVER! lol I hope you're all having a beautiful day! :o)

Materials Used:
