ABC Scripture Challenge - Identity

Patter does some wonderful sharing on this word, and you can find it and her beautiful page right HERE. Please go take a look there as soon as you're finished here! Patter asked the question..."How do people “know” you?" So this question got me thinking about how I really want to BE KNOWN. Many of you who come to visit my blog know me only by my blog postings. If you've been coming by for a while, you might know me quite well. My words and my work are a very accurate depiction of who I am! I'm a fairly open book! lol I have two two frequently recurring themes on this blog. The first one is that the Bible is my guidebook for life. The second one is that I'm all about the JOY!! So when it comes to my "IDENTITY", those two things play a big part!
This Basic Grey paper was perfect for my page! It looks like someone has been keeping a file on me, doesn't it? At least it did until I added all the embellishments! I started by making a list - in red - of  the different roles I have in life. Then I found Scripture verses that relate to each role. This is what I aspire to BE KNOWN AS in my life! I am already a CHILD OF GOD, and as such I will have the Lord's help to become what He would have me be with the rest! :o)

A Little Cuppa!

Tomorrow we are heading off to do a little bit of celebrating with our oldest daughter! She recently got word that she has been accepted to her Grad Program...YAY for her!! Only two more years of university, which will bring the total to eight! Yikes, right? She loves it! She always likes it when I make things for her, and since she has become quite a tea connoisseur, this teacup is quite appropriate. I'll have to put a little gift in it as well! :o)

You KNOW I had to use that verse for mine! lol Did you know that we've got a multitude of nations that come and meet right here on my blog? Woohoo! So let's all clap our hands and shout to God with cries of JOY!! How happy is that? :o)

ABC Scripture Challenge - Gift

God is so generous to us! When it comes to gift giving...He is the Master! First of all He gave the ultimate gift when He gave us His Son, Jesus! He was the best gift I've ever received! :o) However, His gift-giving just goes on and on. I love the verse in James 1:17. The first part of it says..."Every good and perfect gift is from above..." I started making a list of all the different kinds of gifts God gives us, but it was getting way TOO long for this post! lol
For my page I chose Scripture that focused on the gifts of talents that God has given us. He has given each of us our own individual talent. We are instructed to use those God-given talents to serve others, and "faithfully administer God's grace." I'd say it's the least we can do when He has been so good to us! :o)

52 Week Scrapbook Challenge - Make a Boy/Girl Page

Alright...procrastination over! Would you believe that this is the only thing I could come up with for the "boy" part of my page! In all of my supplies, I found only this one stamp set with a boy on it. That is the entire extent of my boy supplies! I don't really have many "girl" supplies either....just girly! lol I don't know if this is quite what was intended with the challenge but I really had lots of fun...again! I also got to do another new technique. Paper piecing is going on my favorites list! Boy, that list is getting really long! :o)
